Lake Kissimmee Fishing Report
2/2/12
Speckled perch catches have been good. The best
catches are still coming in late in the evening or at night. They
are staging along the grass line and may be spawning this week.
Limits of bass are being taken by most. Most are in the 2- to
6-pound range.
11/16/11 Limits of both species found.
Some anglers are taking limits of specks and some don’t seem to be
able to find them. Bass catches are terrific with lots of limits
taken. These bass are running from 2 to 7 pounds.
11/3/11 Big bass and plenty of
keeper-sized fish are being caught on Lake Kissimmee. Speckled perch
in the river are forming small schools. Find them with your fish
finder and attack with live minnows. 10/20/11
High water has created a flurry of superb bass action
on Lake Kissimmee recently. Most spots around the entire lake with
moving water is producing "real good.'' Lures of choice are diving
crankbaits, lipless crankbaits and soft plastics.
